6. Turkey Home product Design Competition – Finalist
I was selected as a finalist in this competition and presented my design to the jury, although I did not receive an award. The starting point of my design was the fundamental philosophy of human life: protecting oneself from all kinds of harmful effects—physical, chemical, biological, and radioactive. In this context, I developed a special baby crib aimed at shielding infants from electromagnetic radiation emitted by household devices during their developmental period.
I chose the leaf shape for the crib, symbolizing nature’s protective role and its capacity to host living beings. The leaf form not only provides a sense of physical protection but also creates a safe and natural space around the crib.
By drawing attention to the increasing electromagnetic waves caused by the widespread use of technological devices today, I reinterpreted the protective bond between nature and humans through textile design. My design reflects both aesthetic value and an awareness-raising perspective.
